Every platform wants a different frame: 1280×720 for a YouTube thumbnail, 1080×1080 for an Instagram post, 1080×1920 for Stories, Reels and TikTok covers. The resizer has presets for these and for X, Facebook and LinkedIn, plus a custom size for anything else.
Resizing happens in your browser in several smaller steps, which keeps edges and text cleaner than a single jump in size. PNG images stay PNG; other images are saved as high-quality JPG.
A practical order for video assets: make or pick the image, resize it to the platform preset, then compress it if the upload has a size limit. For a profile photo, use a custom square size such as 400×400.

Which sizes are built in?
Presets cover YouTube thumbnails and banners, Instagram posts, Stories and landscape posts, X posts and headers, Facebook posts and covers, TikTok and LinkedIn posts. Any other size can be entered on the Custom tab.
Will my image be stretched?
Keep Maintain aspect ratio on and the image keeps its proportions. When you need an exact frame such as 1280×720, choose the preset and check the preview before you download.
What format is the result?
PNG images are saved as PNG, so transparency is kept. JPG, WebP and other images are saved as high-quality JPG.
Can I resize a video?
No, the resizer works on still images. In SceneSteller, the video’s aspect ratio is chosen when you create it: landscape, portrait or square.
